Sustainability
I plan on using a towel in the bathroom rather than paper towels, turning off lights and fan when possible, turning off copiers and printers when possible.
Apparently all those laser printers sitting around the school (even though energy star) use a lot of power (even in sleep mode). I unplug mine in between uses.
You're probably okay leaving them on during the day unless you're going several hours in-between uses (Sleep mode power use is pretty marginal. The recommendations I read online after reading your post said that turning them off at night & weekends is sufficient. And no need to unplug them. Just use the turn on/off switch.
